Jrue Holiday of the Celtics laments the Clippers' 'good old-fashioned a-whooping'

The Boston Celtics still have the best record in the NBA, but Saturday night's blowout loss to the visiting Los Angeles Clippers was a huge surprise.

The Celtics entered the game with a 20-1 home record this season, but were defeated 115-96. The game was not as close as the final score suggests, and Boston guard Jrue Holiday provided an incredibly open evaluation of the night.

"A good old-fashioned a-whooping," Holiday stated when dealing with the reporters, according to NBC Sports Boston. "They did everything better. They appeared to be ahead of the game in terms of rebounding, transitioning, and playing 50-50. It's quite humiliating, I think, to be able to come home and get your butt kicked.

Saturday night's setback was one of the rare instances this season that the Celtics struggled, shooting only 36% from the floor and 25% from three. Boston trailed by as much as 36 points at one point and was down 31 heading into the fourth quarter.

Jayson Tatum was the lone Celtics starter to reach double figures (21 points), with only three players exceeding 10 points for Joe Mazzulla's team. The Clippers were led by Kawhi Leonard, who finished with 26 points, seven rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.
