 South Korea's resistance chief Lee Jae-myung has been cut in the neck during a visit to the city of Busan.

Mr Lee, who barely lost the 2022 official political decision, supported a 1cm cut on the left half of his neck, reports said.

He was transported to medical clinic. Specialists say the injury isn't perilous.

The 66-year-elderly person who went after him said he had planned to kill Mr Lee, Yonhap news office announced. The thought process in the assault is muddled.
