Casemiro, Cristiano Ronaldo's former Real Madrid colleague, recently discovered a similarity between the Portuguese football legend and the French footballer.
Casemiro, the Brazilian footballer who now plays for Manchester United, formerly played with Ronaldo for numerous years during their separate periods at the Santiago Bernabeu, as Sports Illustrated noted.
In a recent interview with El Chiringuito, he discussed how Mbappe, the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) sensation, compares to the Portuguese international.
Mbappe reminds me of Cristiano. "He's on the pitch, and he smells a goal," Casemiro explained. "You have to be concerned about this man because he will score a goal. Cristiano was like that.
Mbappe's contract at PSG expires at the conclusion of the 2023/24 season, and he is largely expected to join Madrid on a free transfer with lucrative personal terms.
With 284 goals in 374 club games, the 25-year-old footballer is PSG's all-time greatest scorer with 253 goals, 53 more than Edinson Cavani.
Mbappe is scheduled to join Los Blancos later this summer.
His final game for PSG might be against his possible future employers, given both sides have advanced to the Champions League semi-finals this season.
Les Parisiens have been drawn against Borussia Dortmund, while Madrid will face Bayern Munich.
Ronaldo, a 39-year-old former Manchester United player who has been described as Mbappe's idol, joined Madrid in 2009 for a then-world record £80 million sum.
He had the most goals in club history, with 450. He also helped win 15 trophies and four of his five Ballons d'Or during his stay in the Spanish city.
