How will the FA Cup replay influence Blank Gameweek 29 in Fantasy

Managers in the Fantasy Premier League should pay close attention to the outcome of tonight's FA Cup fourth-round replay between Aston Villa and Chelsea, as it will have a significant impact on who plays and who does not in Blank Gameweek 29.

The FA Cup quarter-finals, the competition's sixth round, will be held on the same weekend as Gameweek 29 of the FPL, necessitating the rescheduling of any Premier League fixtures involving clubs still competing in the cup.

This will result in a Blank Gameweek 29 (BGW29) for a number of teams.

Blank Gameweek 29 currently has only two confirmed matches: Burnley v Brentford and Fulham against Spurs. However, a third fixture will be confirmed tonight following Villa's FA Cup fourth-round replay against Chelsea.

If Villa wins, Chelsea will be free to face Arsenal in the Premier League on BGW29, as Arsenal has already been eliminated from the cup.

That would be good news for owners of Bukayo Saka (£9.0 million) and Cole Palmer (£5.9 million), the most-owned midfielders in Fantasy, who appear in 60% and 39% of teams, respectively.

If Chelsea wins instead, their BGW29 match against Arsenal risks being postponed. However, Villa's defeat would allow them to face West Ham United on BGW29 as planned.

Ollie Watkins (£8.8 million) is the third most popular player in Fantasy, with 53% ownership, while the Hammers' Jarrod Bowen (£7.9 million) appears in nearly a quarter of squads.

Nottingham Forest are also in FA Cup action tonight, visiting Bristol City, although the outcome will have no bearing on their BGW29 match against Luton Town, as Luton are still in the competition.

The list below reveals which matchups in BGW29 are at risk of being postponed because at least one of the clubs - the ones in bold font - is still in the FA Cup and has a chance to make the quarter-finals.
